UNIDIR held its 2015 Space Security Conference entitled “Underpinning Foundations of Space Security” on 24–25 August 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference was organized in collaboration with Secure World Foundation and The Simons Foundation with the support of the governments of the People’s Republic of China and the United States of America. This fourteenth annual Conference focused on foundational definitions needed for space security, and in-depth discussions were held on the necessities and the challenges involved in coming to understandings on definitional issues related to the safety and security of outer space activities.
