Denuclearization and the Korean Peninsula

Lunch-time discussion on recent developments on the Korean Peninsula and prospects for progress toward denuclearization. 

The United The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea in Geneva are pleased to invite staff of Geneva diplomatic missions to attend a lunch-time discussion "Denuclearization and the Korean Peninsula" devoted to the recent developments on the Korean Peninsula and the prospects for progress toward denuclearization. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Lim Sang-beom, Director-General for Nonproliferation and Nuclear Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session moderated by Renata Dwan, Director, UN Institute for Disarmament Research.

From 13:15  – 14:45. Sandwiches will be provided at 12:45.

PARTICIPANTS: UNIDIR encourages the participation of representatives and experts specialized or interested in issues pertaining to nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
