Implementation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) is pleased to invite you to a series of panel discussions on the implementation of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons will enter into force on 22 January 2021. In advance of the first Meeting of States Parties to the TPNW, UNIDIR is organising a series of online panel discussions on the implementation of this treaty. UNIDIR has designed these events to stimulate discussion between States and stakeholders and develop options to build confidence in the implementation of the TPNW. The first session will introduce the workshop series, before considering the requirements for effective national implementation of the TPNW in terms of legislative and regulatory measures, victim assistance and environmental remediation.
