This event aimed to contribute to an informed discussion on strengthening the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

The event first presented the findings of the newly published UNIDIR paper on Enhancing Compliance Management and Enforcement in the Regime Prohibiting Chemical Weapons, by Ralf Trapp and Cheng Tang.

This was followed by an update of UNIDIR’s work on the gendered effects of chemical weapons and gender balance in the chemical weapons regime.
