In Iraq, MEAC adapted its framework and the suite of assessment tools to the local context. With input from 15 UN agencies working in the country, the toolkit has been used to reintegration dynamics in Basra and Tal Afar and study the reintegration journeys of families perceived as having ISIL affiliation who have returned to their communities.

 

Additionally, the MEAC team in Iraq have conducted quantitative and qualitative work in Jeddah-1 and followed up with those who recently left the camp to understand the reintegration trajectories of Iraqis returning from Syria.
