Measuring, Prioritizing and Evaluating Efforts to Implement SALW Controls: Capacity-Building on Small Arms Management through Regional Workshops on the Use and Integration of the ISACS Software Tool (Phase III)

To build capacity of United Nations Agencies as well as regional organizations in the use and integration of the ISACS self-assessment software tool in their own programming and training activities. This established a global network of institutions that are capable of providing tailored training activities on the ISACS tool to their beneficiaries, including states. The capacity-building activities undertaken in this phase created a sustainable model for long-term use and dissemination of the ISACS self-assessment software, enabling trained institutions to serve as a force multiplier in assisting interested users (United Nations field and country offices as well as states) domesticate the Standards into their small arms strategies, policies and programmes in a practical manner. Phase III placed particular emphasis on promoting South-South cooperation in building capacity on the use of the ISACS software tool.
