Aaron is head of strategic communications at UNIDIR. He is responsible for implementation of communications strategies and brand development, media engagement, the Institute’s website, social media channels and publications. He has over 15 years of experience with the United Nations in communications, human rights and peacekeeping. He has served at Headquarters in New York and Geneva, and in field operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo, as well as in West Africa. Previously, Aaron was the head of communications for the UN Mine Action Service, where he managed its global media and communications activities. His work has included engagement and advocacy campaigns with Daniel Craig, Ben Foster, Jeremy Renner, Jeffrey Wright, and Marco Grob. Aaron has also collaborated with private sector marketing and design firms such as Critical Mass, Omaze, and Pentagram. He holds a J.D. in law and a B.A. in English Literature from DePaul University, Chicago. He speaks English and Italian. Aaron is married and has two children.
